🥂 HEAVENLY BLANC VOID PARTY 🥂
Who: Everyone! What: Heavenly Blanc mingle and info exchange Where: The Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café When: "August 1"; but really, what is time Content Warnings: N/A
Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories.
🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party.
🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal.
🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone:
"Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you."

"It's nice to see everyone. Since we're stuck here together, let's cooperate well."
☕ OOC NOTES ☕
This is the open mingle post for the Heavenly Blanc void party! Please feel free to top-level and tag around.
There is a top-level included here for you to post OOC notes of what their characters have discussed on the log, as well as their own thoughts about the world. If there is anything important that people should know, please reply to the top-level with the information, so that it's easy to find for everyone. General info posts about what your character will be talking about are fine as well. Just please try to avoid multiple edits if you can as you thread if you are going that route! for the sake of my dw inbox...
Because this is an info exchange/mingle post, we encourage thread-jacking. However, we know that not everyone is into that kind of thing, so if you are okay with others hopping into your threads, please be sure to indicate it in your top-level.
Questions about the log can be directed to the ooc post.

[She smiles reassuringly at him while pointing to his feathery friend, and shuffles away back to the bar. It doesn't take her very long to make him a fresh glass to return with, setting it down on the table in front of him. Filled only halfway to the top to avoid any further spillage, and to make it easier to hold out of its reach.]
There's no need to apologize. Used to run a bar filled with drunk guys every night. There've been worse spills across that counter, you know.
no subject
He'll take the glass once it's returned, taking a drink before he replies.]
I'll bet. I'm not surprised to hear that, though, because this drink is really good.
[Figures she has experience!]
Amamiya-san must have recruited you to help out tonight.
no subject
[Tifa can't help but laugh at that. Is he going around telling people that she's a bartender for hire? Granted, if it paid the bills, she'd do it, and if there were bills to pay, but she shakes her head.]
The part of this place that's a bar—that was mine. [There's warmth in the way she says it, not at all possessive, but fond. She misses it. The real one.] Seventh Heaven, it was called. Started it up just a few years ago and it's been my gig ever since.
[Until it wasn't, but she refuses to let that thought ruin this.]
no subject
[He should have known though, what with her bartending skills.]
I'm glad to hear that it's familiar to someone, though...that seems to be a common theme with places around here, I'm starting to notice.
no subject
[She's just going to casually slide into the seat across from him, and she props her elbows up on the table, chin in hands. Even the bartender needs a break sometime, and Tifa wants to make an effort to get to know everyone here.
She watches the bird next to him for a moment before turning her focus entirely back to the boy.]
Yeah. Right down to the animals, it sounds like. [Her tone turns thoughtful.] It could be worse, though. We could all be stuck here with no idea what anything is, right?
no subject
Yeah...though it makes me wonder just what happened here. It's like these places were pulled straight from our memories, but not quite right. Like somebody saw what they were and tried to remake them, but couldn't quite get it exact.
no subject
[It doesn't sound like a theory, but it does line up to what she's been wondering this whole time. Surely, none of this would have popped up without the help of some bigger force, could it? She doesn't think it's one sole person, but it's certainly a possibility.
She presses a hand to her chin.]
Do you think there's someone else, besides us, responsible for all this?
no subject
[Izuku wraps his hands around his glass, looking into it thoughtfully.]
There were people from my world with powers that allowed them to do many unbelievable things...though nothing quite like this. And I've met others who have the capibility to use really strong magic in ways I never thought was possible, so. If it did turn out someone was responsible, I wouldn't be surprised.
no subject
[That thought is a little terrifying, but it makes just as much sense as a third-party willingly doing it. If this place is made up of the things they know, then it could very well be that they were the ones who put themselves in this position in the first place.]
If that's the case, I dunno if there's a way to stop it from happening.
no subject
Trying to stop it is probably going to have to come after figuring out why and how it's happening, anyway. On top of that, we don't know if the things that are appearing here are just...copies of the things we know, or if they're actually things being removed from our homes, you know?
[...which is even worse now that he thinks about it.]
no subject
I dunno about that, [she says gently.] Seventh Heaven is neither.
[She wishes she had something to drink right about now... but if they're going to be sharing information about their homes versus what's here, then she should have been prepared to share this.]
The bar was destroyed before I got here, but now what's here is intact. All of it.
[Gesturing to the pinball machine, the lines of bottles across the bar, and even the tables.]
no subject
[Okay, that confirms one thing. Because not only is this bar not supposed to be in the state it's currently in...]
The beach is supposed to not be covered in trash anymore like it is now, either. That was cleaned up a while ago.
no subject
You know about the beach!?
[She looks around the bar for Cloud, and when she sees the top of his spiky blond head, she motions to him with a nod.]
We tried to get some of it cleaned up, but it felt like no matter how much we tried, more would come. So, it's supposed to be a normal beach? Where'd all of that trash come from?
no subject
[Izuku is pretty sure the beach had been just being used as a straight up dump for a while by people...he shakes his head slightly.]
But the way it is now, it's since been cleaned up. I don't know where more trash other than what's already there could be coming from...
no subject
Tifa shakes herself out of the spiraling thoughts with a sigh.]
Well, I guess that means that if we all work together at it, we can get it cleaned up in no time, yeah?
[If they did it before, they can do it here again.]
I'd love to see what it looks like without it.
no subject
I plan on helping out as much as I possibly can. It really is a beautiful beach otherwise...there's supposed to even be a small pier on the water.
no subject
With everything that's there, I bet we could even build a new pier. We've got enough hands, and people who're good with them.
[Herself included! She may not be a handyman by any stretch of the imagination, but she can learn. Her hands come together in a show of excitement, thrilled at the prospect.]
It would be really nice to have a place to sit back and relax.
no subject
[And it would be nice to be able to visit the beach again to just...enjoy it, or train, or whatever else without worrying about the trash. That reminds him though...]
The only thing I'm not sure about are the little metal creatures living there. I had to help someone who got bit by one when we all first got here. I don't think they'll take too kindly to where they're living being disrupted.
no subject
Tifa's expression drops.]
Yeah. I had to fight off a whole horde of them my first day. Don't think they liked us digging around in there.
[He does bring up a good point though, but thanks to AVALANCHE, Tifa is an environmentalist, and this kind of pollution reminds her of how much Shinra continues to ruin their own world, draining it of mako the same way the garbage ruins the beach.]
I wonder if we could pick them up and move them elsewhere. Somewhere that's safe for them, and us. Can't imagine the trash is all that great for them to be around either.
no subject
I would suggest the mountain somewhere since we're not living there, but there are other animals living up there. Like these guys.
[He indicates the Pidgey-creature in his lap with a pat between his long ears.]
I wouldn't want them to get hurt...maybe it's worth some more exploring to see where might be suitable to try leading them.
no subject
Well, they were only aggressive once they saw us as a threat. I know I wouldn't like it if someone came digging around Heavenly Blanc.
[She'd want to punch them, too.]
But it could be worth a shot. We'd have to find a way to lure them out, or herd them once we find a place. That might be the tough part...
no subject
[Like, it's half the reason they've maybe not devolved into chaos so far.]
no subject
[She's definitely found and cleaned up some things for her apartment, so the possibility is there. Not all hope is lost with the beach and cleaning it will likely prove more useful than just having a place to relax by the water.
With that out of the way, she reaches a hand out to him.]
I'm Tifa, by the way. Realized I hadn't introduced myself earlier.
no subject
[He also keeps doing this, so don't feel bad Tifa. Izuku smiles, taking her hand in return in greeting.]
I'm Midoriya Izuku. It's nice to meet you, Tifa-san.
this seems like a good place to wrap, if that's okay :D
[There's a yell from the dart board near the door that sounds like another victory after a round of playing, and Tifa's eyes light up.]
That's my cue. They're probably gonna want some drinks to celebrate that.
I'm good with that!!
