Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories.

🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party.

🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal.

🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone:

"Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you."

"It's nice to see everyone. Since we're stuck here together, let's cooperate well."

I have before, but it's not really something I play often. I know there are still a lot of people out there who do, though.

[He makes his next move.]

It's not really a beginners game, is it?

Not really, no. I mean, the basics don't seem that hard, but it's the sort of game people like to show off that they know how to play well. [Tak. Nice and simple. Keep it simple.]

Masters are always so proud of themselves. Like go players and "Dan."

[Izuku pauses for a bit longer this time before he makes his move, smudging his thumb over his lips. He looks back up at Parsee after that.]

"Dan"?

A rank. 1-Dan, 2-Dan. I don't actually know what it means but it's the sort of thing some wanna be master would talk about crossing the bridge. Things people get proud of when they think they're good.

[She made a move pretty quick afterwards. No master, but she was picking up the flow of things. Strategy, however, was not her forte.]

[It's also a lot harder to talk and properly strategize, but Izuku isn't taking the game super seriously or anything. He is trying to play well though, so he'll stop talking just long enough to make his own move.]

Interesting...I guess you caught a lot of converations on your bridge like that.

You pick up things. People living their lives. Coming to the shrine, telling you all their problems with their relationships. One of my few marketable skills. I'm a good listener.

[Albeit, she was a really judgmental one too, but that as another matter entirely. She made a play, sort of half paying attention. This was a way to pass the time more than a serious game, but she was learning the rules again slowly.]

[Honestly, Izuku isn't expecting to win here, and even if he does he won't gloat. It's a nice way to pass the time, and plus he figured they'd have a conversation over it regardless. Parsee is an interesting individual, despite all of her brusqueness when they first met. Izuku wants to learn more about her, and her world.]

I guess that would be a good kind of place to go vent. Nice and quiet...peaceful.

yeah. I'd say most of them came with the most basic offerings just for a chance to vent. They didn't really want help breaking up. They didn't need it. Did it all on their little lonesome. Didn't need a youkai's tactics.

[She snorted and laughed a little on her next move.]

When they brought scissors you knew it was serious.

So you spent most of your time listening to others, just talking or maybe venting about their lives...

[He makes a move next, albeit a bit slowly.]

Didn't that get lonely?

A little... but really, they came by pretty often. People break up a lot and it was a well known bridge and town. Lot of people.

It was actually lonely in hell. [Shrug.] You get used to it after a century though.

[Izuku can't even imagine what that's like. Sure, things were awfully lonely for him growing up with so few friends to connect with, and those he did have weren't close to him as time went on...but being alone in a place like that...]

Maybe...being here is a good thing, then.

[Stick with him.]

Like- obviously not...forever, or anything. But we can actually talk to you here, you know?

I'm not 'completely' alone, but yeah. This hasn't been awful. And... with my powers not working quite right, I almost feel a little normal. Almost. [She shrugged.]

The jealousy can get bad when they're working right.

Jealousy?

[The question leaves him before he can think better of it, that it might not be something he should just be asking about outright...but he's curious. Especially when she mentioned having powers that don't work.]

Well I'm a spirit of jealousy, so there's going to be a lot of it. That's kind of a given in and of itself. It's the nature of my power, and if those are active, it makes other people more jealous around me, and tends to make me more jealous.

Ooh...I had no idea.

[Izuku frowns a little, thoughtful...though more over their conversation now than Shogi. It may be Parsee's chance to take the upper hand, if she cares about that sort of thing.]

I wonder...how this place could take a power like that away. It seems more like a feeling than an ability...

That's the thing. I don't think it's actually been taken away. I think it's just... suppressed. I mean, think about it.

It's like this place jut figured out wind is a thing. It probably has no clue how to handle anything weird we can do. So it hasn't figured us out yet.

[You know...]

If that's the case, that's encouraging. It would be similar to how Fellden handled powers...our Quirks came back slowly over time as the world acclimated to us. Maybe it will be the same here?

That's possible... though I don't know this Fellden place. That where you're from?

[A pause...]

And it might not be entirely good. You wouldn't want mine to be on.

It's...not where I was from originally, actually. But yes.

[He inclines his head, slightly. He'll explain further, should she ask.]

Ah, yeah...I guess not. Still though, it's something to be prepared for in case it does happen.

You make it sound ... bigger than a country I guess? Is this not the first time you've been to a strange place that isn't your home?

[She was pretty good at reading people. Something in the way he'd said Fellden clued her into the possibility. And if there was one place like this? Why not more? there was either only ever one, or countless ones.]

I've been thinking about that. I might go hide under my bridge until I get it together.

It's not. The first was a place called Fellden. A world between worlds.

[He makes another move.]

I've told a couple people about it by now when they asked, but...I'm from Japan, normally. Fellden was ruled by gods, and a priestess and emperor with far greater powers than the people they brought there for help. They asked us to help them save Fellden since it acted as a sort of...anchor keeping all of our home worlds together. I was brought onto the side of the Court of Stars.

[He shifts to roll up his sleeve, showing her a tattoo on his right bicep. The constellation Gemini.]

But the Emperor and Priestess couldn't agree on the right way to govern the world in an effort to save it...so both sides were at war. That's what was happening before I found myself here.

That honestly sounds like the kind of idiocy gods would get up to. Arguing about how to run things and dragging other people into it.

[It sounded like another Monday in Gensokyo, which meant it sounded really really irritating. But definitely a primer for being in strange worlds. She glanced at the symbol and nodded. She knew the constellation... or at least the star configuration. Asian astrology was a bit different after all.]

So, you've got a bit of experience with this crap, only this place is like standing in the unused clay of a world not formed.

[Izuku nods, rolling his sleeve back down to his wrist.]

Mm. Fellden at least was an actual place...with towns, and locals, and it's own magic. This...I still don't know what we can call this world. I've never experienced anything like it.

... I've got suspicions. But I'm not sure I want to give voice to them, because the ones I didn't share make me really uncomfortable, and might feed a few egos here.

[She knew creation myths. They were all filled with colossal dumbfuckery as gods figured out how things were supposed to work... This felt like the birthplace of 'something.' And she didn't want people thinking they were gods.]

[That's only mildly concerning.]

I understand. Speculation hasn't really helped us much so far anyway, besides giving us different things to think about. I thnk we'll probably have a better idea of what's going on after more time has passed...and more things have appeared, maybe.
