🥂 HEAVENLY BLANC VOID PARTY 🥂 Who: Everyone! What: Heavenly Blanc mingle and info exchange Where: The Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café When: "August 1"; but really, what is time Content Warnings: N/A Maybe you heard through word of mouth, or got an invite from the barista and barkeep directly, or spotted the handwritten paper invites hung up around the area, but there is a gathering happening at the Heavenly Blanc Bar and Café TODAY! So feel free to stop by, hang out, have some drinks, and share some stories. 🍺 DRINKS: Coffee will be served by Ren, and Tifa will be handling the other drinks. There's a wide variety behind the bar, ranging from alcoholic to the non-alcoholic, with delicious cocktails (yes, including virgin ones for the minors) to pick from. And before you ask - no, if you are underage, you may not have alcohol. Tifa will be very strict about it, and anyone who tries to bypass her imposed law will be subject to room temperature tapwater for the rest of the party. 🎲 GAMES: Various boardgames that came along with Le Blanc will be made available for all to play, including a Shogi board for the strategically inclined (and whoever knows how the heck to play it). Along the side wall are two pinball machines, and while they don't light up and make sounds, the mechanisms inside them still work, so they aren't completely out of the picture! Next to them, between the jukebox and the door is a dart board. Please do be mindful when throwing darts, as the light filtering into the bar through the front windows is very minimal. 🤔 INFORMATION EXCHANGE: The important part! When all are gathered inside the bar, Tifa and Ren will make a small announcement for everyone: "Now that we've all had the chance to take a look around and get our bearings, I wanna encourage everyone to exchange what you know, or what you've found. Even share it with the rest of us! Locations, ideas, theories - anything that could be useful in helping us all figure this out. We all come from different worlds, but we're stuck here, so we're in this together until we're not, yeah? Let's make friends and play nice, and most importantly, have fun today! Oh, and if you're coming and going, make sure to close the door nice and tight behind you." "It's nice to see everyone. [In all fairness, it wasn't something most could repeat. How or why Seto had ever decided to take it upon himself to learn this skill was anyone's guess. It had served him well on more than one occasion however.

It's probably for the best that Izuku places the darts aside, since with Kaiba here it's not likely to lessen his nerves.]

[As for sports, Kaiba didn't go for them much either preferring intellectual pursuits but he did keep himself in good physical condition. An athletic nerd- a rare unicorn. Finding the time for everything was a task in itself] Mm. [Humming what might have been either approval or an acknowledgement.] How good are you at shogi? [Looking briefly to the makeshift set Ren had made for the event]

[Honestly, either it has something to do with his card gaming skills, or...he just wants to show off. Izuku could honestly believe it to be related to either.

As for the question about shogi, Izuku shrugs one shoulder.]

I wouldn't say I'm a master or anything, but...decent. It's been a while since I've played, though.

Infrequently, but I consider myself of a higher caliber than decent.

Why don't we play a game, then? It's better than me standing here being awful at darts, anyway...

[A challenge like that certainly would have piqued Kaiba's interest, he also would have questioned how much money the kid actually had at his disposal- not that he would have tried to take him for all he's worth but he would have been really insulting if there was a large gap between their means.]

[Normally, he would have told Izuku he didn't play losers... but...... with no real mental stimuli for the better part of the evening, even he was feeling a little desperate for a change of pace]

You're on- don't make a scene when you lose.

[He is so ONE to TALK. Making his way over to the makeshift shogi set, he looked over his shoulder to see if Izuku was following or chickening out]

[Oh my god Izuku truly wonders if Kaiba has met Katsuki yet...they'd cause a singularity if they got too close to each other in this place.

Izuku will follow- of course- because he doesn't particularly care whether he wins or loses, even though he knows it'll be lorded over him if/when he does lose. He seems all too happy to sit down where the board is set up, reaching out to help place the pieces where they need to go.

He plans to use this as a means for conversation as much as a game. Especially since Kaiba can't exactly leave unless he wants to forfeit...]

Only if you don't if I win.

[He has, but luckily it was only briefly so no one died.

Raking his discerning sapphirine eyes over the makeshift shogi board and accompanying pieces you could tell he was thoroughly unimpressed with the set. Still, it was all they had so whatever. Kaiba sat down a little after Izuku, then he began to engage in the same activity until he had two rows filled with pieces, and the row in between them holding only two as was customary.

He was not planning on conversing all that much unless it was to goad his opponent. Little did he know what was in store for him]

If? [He snorted] Even though you're attempting to correct me, I don't feel all that threatened. Where is your confidence?

[Hey now, don't judge Ren's carving skills too harshly. He clearly did his best with what he had, here.

Izuku is smiling even as they finish getting the board set up, folding his arms in front of him on the table.]

Oh, should I have said something different?

[Just saying. Since they had already set up the board it would have been counterproductive to determine who went first by tossing the pieces in the air, so he came up with another method]
