And a person can be 'it.' [She shrugged.] But it does definitely seem to be trying to make us weirdly comfortable, even though it's sometimes doing an awful job of it.
...actually, I think some just want to go home. They could take or leave the question.

[Smirking at that. Sure. An it.] Yeah- and I don't like it. [Though he has indulged from time to time in what's available]
I want to do both. Why choose one or the other? I want to know what the point of all this was and to make sure someone pays for the inconvenience.

[she didn't need to be told. She already assumed he was a total control freak.]
Heh. I know what a video game is now, so... I think I know what you mean. You get a "Important choice" but you only get Option A, Option B, Option C you had to unlock or the booby prize because you didn't like your choices. Not whatever you want.
[How would Legion feel about what was essentially a description of how things ended in his world?]
You might have to wait for that prize. You patient enough for that?
no subject
Essentially. There are some simulator games that allow for a bit more customization, or playerbased world-building.. if you can call all of those games. [If there's no competition or high scores there's not really a challenge] Where did you learn about video games? [From Legion, perhaps?]
... [Patience. Right. Kaiba wasn't always... patient] I'll have to be. I'm not letting anyone or anything get away with thinking it can screw around with my life.

... Legion showed me a game he played. I tried my hand at it. I really really suck, but I know what they are. Total time wasters. [Grunt.]
So, you'll stick around in this place as long as you have to to prove a point because no time's passing back home as far as we know so why not prove your point and enjoy yourself while you're here?

Ah- I had the privilege of trying one of his games as well. It was very chess-like in terms of strategy. [Wondering if she played the same thing] I wouldn't call it a waste.. not if it was sufficiently challenging and it sounds like it was.
Assuming time isn't passing. [If he finds out it's otherwise he might have to amend his plans] Enjoy myself? Where is this coming from?
no subject
Mmmm, it was fun. When I say time waster I mean it can occupy hours of your life at a time easily.
I ... think it's a safe assumption, but I'm not sure. [Ask her again in a month. she'd amend that to say she was sure of it then.] Not quite sure? Hey, if you get to have fun I get to be jealous, so why not want you to have fun?
[Instead of this being about him making a home here in his own weird way?]
no subject
In that case, I retract my earlier response, it can do that.
That's the core of our problem isn't it. No one knows what's going on here or out there. [He wasn't sure he bought it, that time could stop entirely. That was the stuff of fiction, not reality. Had he only been on better terms with Amamiya or Akechi he might have known more about the subject since they had left and returned before.] In some backwards way, that makes sense. Or- you could try to find something ultimately more fulfilling than living vicariously through other people.. [Ie. something other than jealousy to fuel her] .. Though I guess that's supposed to be outside your nature, hm? [Though he did think she needed to find something healthier. Ew, this sounds like caring again.]
no subject
...
[She looked at him quietly. Et tu Kaiba? Trying to convince her to live her life without it being focused on jealousy like the rest? But the fact that even he was nudging... that was kind of telling.]
I'm capable of other emotions. I'm just... not good at having them regularly. [She considered] But I suppose I might give it a try one of these days. Maybe. No promises.
no subject
...
[Under that gaze of hers he felt a little uneasy. Yes, he was trying to impart some useful advice on her, but he didn't want her to realize why he was suggesting it. So he too, tried to obfuscate.] What? It's pathetic. [Hoping the insult was enough to make her think he was just mouthing off like usual and not expressing real concern. That would be terrible to admit, right?]
I'm just hearing excuses at this point.. [Says the man that sucks at emotions too] Mm. [To that he gave an approving nod.] See that you do, the void is lame enough already without you adding to it with your inaction.

Yukari's a bitch. You're lucky not to deal with her. [Actually some people really thought she was fun to be around.]
Ngh... ok, I think this conversation's run its course. It'll be better if I don't continue. I'd say something I regret, and I envy, not regret. We'll talk later, Seto Kaiba.
no subject
I think you could extend that to everyone, really. [The less people/monster/youkai a person had to deal with the luckier you were.]
Mm. [Said with a nod of the head] Later.
