(open) bet you thought you'd seen the last of me
Who: Ren and YOU!!
What: His return to the Void after his canon update
Where: Everywhere, we know how I roll, I'll probably update this forever
When: OOCLY, around the 10th of December!
Content Warnings: 100% Persona 5 Royal Spoilers will happen BUT I will put it in the comment subject if anything comes up.

Instead of sitting down, she walked right up to him and made a grab for his cheek to give it a pinch.]
You real? No fair Void if that's you messing with me.

(He fought against the reality check because really, there were ways of making it less painful, he's sure.
When she finally lets go, he rests an arm on her shoulder, as to encourage a hug if she would like one.)
Promise.

[She breathed in and out for a moment. The offer of a hug was sort of seen, or at least interpreted correctly, but she picked the bar to sit down at, letting out a breath of relief.]
People haven't come back yet since they disappeared. We didn't know. I thought you were gone. The hell, man? Where'd you go?
no subject
(He knows. He's seen how the Void seemed a little off, a little chaotic, but all he can do is apologize for something he had no choice in the first place.)
I don't know how.
no subject
...
How long has it been for you? [She was squinting, trying to figure a few things out, and it seemed logical to ask. After all, it could easily have been a long time. Time was weird here.] Did you go back to the moment you left from, like we thought.
no subject
(Considering it was in the end of December that he had left. Finally, he goes behind the counter to get their coffee going.)
It was like I had never been here.

So, when you went home, you didn't remember any of this. Of us. And when I go home... I'm not quite sure how I feel about that, Ren. But it's not something I think I can change.
So... [She was going to have to think about that a lot, but for the moment she just sagged against the bar and side.] I'll just take having you around.

Finally, after a sigh, he pours the coffee for both of them.)
I'm glad to see you too.
(He truly is.)

Something happen in the last few months? Or mum's the word?
no subject
(Of course, he's not spilling more about the more abnormal parts of his life. He'll stick with what she knows - he had been arrested in that memory, after all. It's only logical to tell her that part of the truth, rather than the part he saved reality once more.)
I was going to my hometown, last I remember.

[Little miss behind the times strikes again.]
Considering ... some things, I admit I'm not necessarily surprised but you seem pretty at peace, so I'm assuming things are ok despite that fact?
no subject
(His record was cleared. It feels like finally, things started falling into place. It isn't enough to erase the stigma he was about to face when he went home, but it was a start.
His future made sense again.)

Friar TuckBenkei.]Well, good to hear. You don't belong behind bars. Pretty sure someone else does where you come from.
no subject
(Many rotten adults out there, some of which he put behind bars himself. His work was not truly done, but the way things are, he feels like it reached a good completion. They've left a deep enough mark for things to start changing.)
no subject
Don't answer that. Don't really need to. [A shrug.] You seem at least a little more at peace right now, so that's probably good.
no subject
How were things while I was gone?
no subject
This place is starting to shift and change.
no subject
(Something to the shrine??? What powers?? Are powers back??)
no subject
As for my 'powers.' Uh... I blessed your boss and she had a hell of a perfect day apparently? Which... is REALLY not what my powers are, but I did it apparently? And I don't entirely know how.
no subject
She's not my boss.
(He frowns at the rest of that information, blinking incredulous.)
We should test it.
no subject
... [Hmmm, think think.]
I could test it by trying to do it to a couple people, anyone who's been venerating at the shrine, I'd say is fair. She wasn't jealous or anything because of it. Only person that had trouble was because of Memetos, and .... she's ok now.
[Not naming names, because she was still embarrassed about Rinoa.]
You volunteering?
no subject
(But to the last question, he just nods. Last he's seen, she was. It was good, having Tifa with him in Heavenly Blanc, but he's been nothing but supportive of her pursuing something that would be better for her mindspace.)
I could.
(Why not?)
no subject
[She really wasn't that great with business. But it did make sense. It did explain the correction. She looked at him and considered for a minute before reaching out one of her hands. There was nothing immediately obvious. Maybe a haze in the air. Not much. She grunted once and looked at her hand.]
Ngh... don't think there's as much. It might have built up before I did it for her. Might help when people visit. I don't think you'll notice anything at first... but if your day goes different? Let me know.
I want to know if it was a fluke or I actually did make her day lucky.
no subject
(It doesn't have to be something too big, does it? A cup of coffee that was supposed to go wrong that went right, a storm right when he would like to use his phone.)
What would you like to drink?
no subject
She looked over at him, thinking for a minute and then shrugging.]
How about a cappuccino? Something light.
