005 - You Are Invited

Only some of the people received a personal gift, but another oddity makes an appearance at around the same time. Each and every person in the world will find a plain letter in their vicinity - if they choose to ignore it, it will reappear continuously until they finally peek inside. Within is a simple handwritten message.
You are invitedCuriously, the handwriting appears to be your own.
When: 6 hours
Where: Galleria del Funghi, Messiah
Trains are running
Thank you
As promised, the trains are running smoothly thanks to a distant, rumbling storm. Should you choose to follow the letter's instructions, you're likely to meet someone else along the way.
Celebration
Exactly six hours after the letter's initial appearance, a party materializes in the lobby of the Galleria. A party for what, you might ask? It's not entirely clear. A banner hangs over the entrance that reads “You are invited” in large, fanciful letters, but nothing else indicates what the celebration is for.
The decorations in the lobby match the Galleria's usual flair, featuring brightly colored roses and the odd mushroom tied with a bow. Soft piano music fills the room, imitating songs that people may have heard or played before, though the exact source of it cannot be found. The main floor has been left open for dancing and mingling, and several round tables and chairs have been arranged on one side of the room. The other side is lined with a large buffet table.
The buffet is stocked with a large variety of snacks that vary from fancy high-end dishes to packaged foods you might find in a convenience store, all displayed proudly on tiers of extravagant platters. There are several platters filled with nothing but raw mushrooms, and a few that don't have food on them at all - it seems the world still gets confused sometimes when trying to figure out what is and isn't food. Regardless, it's still safe to sample the platters of rocks, batteries, or the punch bowl filled with lava. Drinks are also available in both shared punch bowls as well as individual cans and bottles, stacked neatly beside the buffet area.
There doesn't seem to be a specific end time for the party, but the music will keep playing and the food will keep mysterious restocking until the last party-goer decides to leave. Afterwards, the entire setup will vanish as quickly as it had appeared, leaving no trace behind but a neatly folded banner on the floor.
Precipitation
While the party is still in full swing, another change has started to happen in the world - snow, a concept that was once isolated to only the high peaks of Mount Silver, has finally realized it can be anywhere. The world may be a touch overeager to prove itself.
What starts as a delicate sprinkle of snowflakes quickly turns into a full-fledged blizzard, leaving every inch of the world coated in a thick blanket of snow and ice. Fortunately for those who attended the party, the roof of Messiah's exterior provides some cover from the elements, though it doesn't take long for the constant trickle of seawater to turn into a layer of ice across the entire city. It at least makes for a fun impromptu skating rink, if you're careful to mind the railings and stairs.
Unfortunately, the ice has also frozen the half-submerged train station into a solid block, so you may have no choice but to wait out the storm. Those who left early or chose to skip the party may also find themselves caught in the frightful weather. Best to bundle up somewhere safe and warm - and bring someone else for company!

kimihiro watanuki - xxxholic - ota - FEEL FREE TO HIJACK, IT'S A PARTY
(after a great period of debating, kimihiro got his clothes back from viridi. the first thing on his mind is a warm bath, something to soothe his tired old man bones before he can change into a fresh outfit. the one he chose is a vibrant scarlet kimono, properly tied and pristine in his care.
it's exactly when he's done that the letter starts popping everywhere. reluctantly, he decides to attend. kimihiro holds the end of his kimono not to drag it on the floor when he enters, scowling when he sees the scene before him. it's to mugetsu he turns, the little fox wrapped around his neck as usual.)
... A party?
b. alcohol.
(he had just taken two bottles, and just like that, two bottles reappear eventually. this means two things to kimihiro: one, what the hell, how is it doing it all, and two, there's limitless alcohol in this party.
he can be found in a table, one of the sake bottles halved between him and mugetsu, who happily drinks from his cup much like a bird would beak a fountain.)
c. no sense of taste (literally).
(while most of the high end dishes seem to be divine by those who eat it, kimihiro himself doesn't seem to be gathering any joy from them. in fact, he seems to be just eating for the sake of appeasing his grumbling stomach.
feel free to ask him... or not, just give him alcohol, it makes him much nicer.)
d. a smoke break.
(it's too loud for him at this point. too freaking loud. he needs some peace and quiet - he was never the one to go to parties, and at most of his gatherings, he had been working. making the food, preparing the food, organizing, whatnot. that was when he was young and now that he's not, he's not sure what he was supposed to be doing.
catch him outside, watching the snowflakes descend and twinkle while he sucks in smoke, a little further from the entrance. let him smoke while he can!!)
Alcohol
[She flopped into a spot next to the two of them, grabbing a cup of her own and starting to pour shochu into it, sighing as she took a nice long sip. It really wasn't going to get her drunk, but placebo effects were absolutely a thing.]

Not only that, she wasn't quite familiar with some of the newer dances people came up with. For all she knew, she was only familiar with ballet and the waltz. It was only dances her father approved of. How old fashion.
As she watched the others, she was now facing the dilemma of dancing with them or watching them.]

Legion|Mass Effect|OTA|Hijack if you wish
(They don't know what they're being invited to, but they decide to come anyway, and are ...pleasantly? surprised to find a party.
While awkward, they've been to enough parties that they're not completely unfamiliar, and so they begin to seek out allies with which to socialize.
Thus, you might find a rather familiar robot cautiously approaching.)
Greetings.
B)
(Awkward socializing isn't the only thing that Legion is capable of however: they also know how to dance. Sort of.
They know exactly one dance, and that dance is the robot, and so they're out on the floor doing the robot, even though it doesn't fit the music at all, and they look completely silly.)

The winged-girl stopped for a moment upon being spoken to, took stock of the situation and, feeling it would be rude not to at least say "hi."]

aerith | ota
[ Is anyone surprised that Aerith is hovering near the roses on display, examining them with delicate fingers and wondering where they came from? Probably not. They may be surprised to see that she's dressed up just a little for the occasion, swapping out one pink dress for another, losing her usual jacket, and adopting heels instead of her more practical, everyday boots. ]
Huh... [ She's thoroughly distracted by the intrigue of the place, taking in the gentle melody that plays from a piano...somewhere, though she does note that there isn't one in sight. ]
This is...kinda ominous. [ Aerith laughs lightly, but there's definitely a little unease behind her gaze. ] I'm all for throwing a party "just because," but this one... [ Is somehow suspicious.
She'll keep at least lightly on her guard, but in the meantime is going to flit around the room, chatting with the people she knows and sampling the food and drink. Naturally, Aerith is also going to try and convince anyone she can to dance with her, and seems to (at least outwardly) forget some of her earlier worries as the event goes on. ]
Just one dance? C'mon: it's a party!
002. let's go on daydreaming (precipitation)
Oh...! [ When the party finally seems to end (more or less, anyway), Aerith steps outside to head back to the apartments with some of the others who live in the area. The snow is an immediate distraction, of course, and she blinks up into it with an expression of wonder. She can recognize it, of course, but they hadn't see the precipitation anywhere beyond the mountain...and certainly not back home in Midgar, under the plate.
Aerith's expression melts into something warm and earnest, and though she's already a little chilly in her dress, she upturns her palms to catch falling snowflakes on her skin. ]
It's beautiful! [ It really is, though it also looks like the storm has the potential to lay a lot of the stuff around town. As they begin to hurry through the already-fallen powder, crunching all the way, she finds herself laughing, breath visible in the air.
It isn't quite so funny that the train is frozen, but even the beginnings of shivers won't stop her. ]
Guess we've got to wait it out... [ Hmm-hmm. Aerith looks to anyone who may be idling nearby with her, mischief sparkling in her eyes. ] What do you say to a snowball fight in the meantime?
003. oh how could i face the faceless days (misc.)
( ota! if you want to return aerith's gift to her or have her return your misplaced gift, if you want to share a warm drink at the heavenly blanc, if you want to catch her (as she always is) at the lemon cello church...go for it! )
of course i want cute so 01
Instead, what he gets is a slow song that fills the room and the bright and smiling face of his coworker. He had just gotten to the table when he heard the request and he bows to his now dance partner, offering a hand for the taking.)

Ann Takamaki | ota | hijack away
[ It's a strange thing, to get an invitation you clearly did not write to yourself. But she did get one, and she's not alone -- as she goes to board the train, there are more than a few people joining her this time around. She's not sure what any of this means, and she's certainly not coming unarmed -- the shiny new submachine gun she'd received is useless to her right now, but her whip isn't. It's curled up at her left hip, in fact, ready to go should she need to defend herself or others at a moment's notice.
When the train comes to a halt, she exits and makes her way to the venue. At least the walk is relatively short, especially if it's spent in good company. ]
B - Party... time?
[ So, this isn't some strange, final boss bullshit like she'd originally thought it to be. Granted, she's a little suspicious for a while, keeping a cautious eye on everyone and every thing, but as the hours dwindle on she loosens up significantly. Her first stop, clearly, is the buffet table -- she loads her plate up with a sampling of almost every sweet that she can fit on her plate (don't worry, if it doesn't fit, she'll come back to try the rest later), leaving only a little bit of room for something healthy. Like the little tomatoes that she's slathered with ranch dressing.
When she's not munching on snacks, she can be found walking around, generally mingling with people, though if pushed to dance, she will, though admittedly, most of the dancing she does this evening is with poor Ren. At least, when they aren't busy with truth or dare shenanigans.
Later, she heads outside, poking around at the snow. Granted, she's not exactly dressed for the occasion, but it does not stop her from screwing around, either. She does a few experimental cartwheels in the snow, though the last few she sinks down into the fluffy white substance. She heads back in for a few minutes to warm back up, before back outside she troops, this time to inspect the ice.
She taps on it a few times with her foot, before casually stepping onto it -- sneakers make for good ice skates, right? She slides, slowly, across the ice, before gracefully falling flat on her ass with a yelp and a laugh. ]
C - A little alone time; locked to Seto Kaiba
[ Ann spends a healthy amount of time with her friends, of course, and she's caught a few glimpses of Seto but he's seemed busy. Trying to get information, undoubtedly, which is a smart move. But once she's able to politely excuse herself from her friends, she's quick to find her way to him, appearing at his side as if she'd been there the entire evening.
She hangs out with him for a little while, talking and catching up -- the snow is coming down hard enough now that she knows they're probably stuck for a while. This could go either way, especially knowing how... anti-social Seto is, something she can understand as well because before she met Ren and the others, she was pretty much a loner, too. It's why, despite who may or may be watching (spoiler: no one, probably, except for Ren who watches EVERYTHING), she slips one of her hands into his and laces their fingers together. ]
Hey, come walk with me for a little bit?
no subject
Stop laughing.
(The words, of course, come out between chuckles. He shakes his head to try and keep a straight face, breathing in, setting her hand on his shoulder, his hand politely on her waist and...

Seto Kaiba - Yu-Gi-Oh! - OTA
[When Kaiba had received the short note, he was naturally suspicious of it, not just for the similarity to his own handwriting but for the sheer lack of details. It would have been only too easy to toss the scrap of paper and wash his hands of the whole ordeal. It was likely a trap, and not a well concealed one.
Still, this might be his only chance to confront whomever was behind this, so he did the most logical thing- Kaiba set to work gathering his duel disk, deck, and even his briefcase so he would be fully prepared if this was going to be solved in the traditional fashion he was accustomed to.
He'd even bring along his pokéballs. Wearing his usual attire consisting of his sharp white coat, black long sleeved shirt, form-fitted pants, and durable boots he looked like he was ready for anythingaccept for a party. He did avail himself of the train for the ride over, and as he sat he was at full attention, both legs and arms folded, his briefcase setting on the seat beside him. Jaw set, and eyes looking more steely than usual he was mentally preparing himself for an altercation. Unsure if anyone else received the same invite, he was just going to charge in alone.]
II. Arrival
[Stepping boldly and confidently into the galleria, he came to a stop and called out a verbal challenge]
You've had your fun, now enough with these games! Come out from wherever you're hiding and face me! [His words grew softer and tapered off as his eyes scanned the scene before him. The ridiculous décor would have fit in nicely at chateau Pegasus but the void was perfectly capable of conjuring up more intimidating scenery. Plus, there was music wafting through the air and concessions lined up on tables.
This was something worse than a battle.
This was a party. Growling, he cut off his speech and debating whirling around now and leaving. Still it might be a bit premature to depart immediately. He did spot something glistening on the buffet table that didn't look edible to him but could be potentially useful..]
III. Snow might be preferable
[After investigating the little soiree for longer than Kaiba thought necessary he was ready to depart. There was just one problem with that. At the exit to the establishment he was just staring at a mound of snow that was blocking everything, as cold as it would be he was still half-tempted to try something stupid to get out of here.
He was done with the dancing, music, and stupid party games. What he wouldn't give to get out of this place but he just stood there until he got so annoyed that he crushed a disgruntled boot print into the face of the snowbank. He hadn't been entirely wrong.
This was a trap]
II
Naturally, Kaiba's grand announcement draws his attention. His amber gaze alights on the young man, twinkling with slight amusement ]

Parsee Mizuhashi | Touhou Project | OTA
Parsee was at the party late, a wrapped package slung over her shoulders which she set down to the side. She purposefully had to shake off a lot of snow, largely because she'd arrived late. her shins were bruised and she looked scuffed and annoyed. Look, she'd tripped over the books she set on a table several times and she was trying to avoid this whole damned thing, but once the snowstorm set in, she figured it was better to be here than not.
So now, wet, bedraggled and irritated, she settled against the wall near books that didn't belong to her and sipped something from a glass she'd gotten filed, grumbling about something while she glared at everyone. This was...
honetly, pretty normal behavior for her. At least she showed up!
The Joy of Flight
Eventually she opened the books. Look, if she hadn't run into who they belonged to yet, she might as well. The New Humanity was confusing as hell and she wasn't going to try again, but she was at least enjoying one called 'the joy of flight.' Man, she wished she could fly.
"Wonder if that harpy would like this," she muttered to herself. Oh how little she knew.
(OOC: Though this prompt is designed with Lysandre in mind as a chance to give her her books, anyone else can stop by to ask what she's reading.)
Do I Look like a Yuki Onna?!?
The party was over. Parsee was one of the last ones to leave, and as she did, she just stood there, staring at all of the white that was everywhere. Snow. Everywhere. It felt like a snow maiden's creation. It was... pretty, pretty in a way that had the sort of clinical, etherea and eternal beauty only the dead of winter could have.
Hearing someone come up beside her, she glanced in their direction. "You should be careful not to get lost in all that. Snow maiden might decide to keep you heh. It's what they do." Morbid thing to joke about, but Youkai humor could be that way.
Wildcard)
Anything you like! Tag away!
Joys of Flight
"Hello, Miss Parsee!" she waved. "How are you...huh?"
She cut herself short upon seeing the book in the Youkai's hands.

Ahh...
[she says cheerfully, examining all the new nature-themed decor she's set up in her apportioned corner.]
There we go! This is starting to feel almost homey. Now one last piece and everything should be juuuuuust perfect. Just need everything to stay nice and still and calm... no surprises...
[she holds up the last, tiny little flower pot she needs to complete her absurdly tall, 20 foot flower tower and gently begins to maneuver it in place with a long stick.]
Careful... careful... keep those hands steady... you're a rock star, Viridi... nobody's here... nothing can disturb yo --
[it is at this moment in time that 37 kimonos land on her head after manifesting in thin air, shortly followed by 10 flowerpots crashing to the ground in an explosion of dirt and pottery]
.............I hate this world.
[b. food]
[Viridi is grouchily hoarding snacks at the buffet table, recognizable food and rocks alike. As far as she is aware, nothing has arrived for her yet. And those ridiculous clothing pieces that ruined her tower have already been claimed by somebody else, even if -- as she had very rightfully pointed out -- she was owed at least one or two of them for ruining her decorations.
Who even needs 37 different changes of clothing?! Mortals were so wasteful.]
Don't they have anything stronger here?
[The crabby gremlin pours lava down her throat and grimaces.]
Urgh. Tastes like Phoenix tears and regret. Hey, are you going to eat that?
[c. snow]
[At the entrance to the Galleria, Viridi flings open the doors and stares at the wintry wonderland that has developed in the matter of an hour or two.]
On one hand, the arctic tundra is a winter biome with important self-sustaining food webs. On the other hand, hard pass.
On the third hand...
[From here on out, those who leave the Galleria will mysteriously find themselves the targets of snowballs to their faces - and nobody in sight to blame. Weird!
It's nice that she's small enough that she can just collapse to the ground and be completely invisible in the snow.]
Food
[She'd already had some very nice sushi thank you very much. There were proper delicacies here. but there were times when Parsee would take a AAA battery and pop it in her mouth to swallow it very quickly without chewing, just to see the reaction people gave her. Look, she new what she thought happened to it in there, so it didn't matter.
Holding up one of the batteries, she snickered at Viridi.]
Go on, say aaaaah.

Turing | 2064:ROM | OTA!
[ Turing was about to heed the call of the invitation (they had never gotten a party invitation before! How exciting!) but it seemed appropriate to head home first and make sure they were presentable. Or rather, they would have done that, if they hadn't opened the door to see Blue's very unhappy Tyranitar glaring at them. ]
Yikes!!
[ They slammed the door shut in a panic, which did not bode well for the door itself, but that was not very high on the list of Turing's concerns. Just to be sure they hadn't been seeing things, they pulled themselves up using the windowsill and peeked into the room, only to see that their sensors had not failed them. That was good, but on the other hand, cranky Tyranitar. They lowered themselves back down to the ground and leaned against the wall.
How in the world were they going to handle this one...? ]
b. celebration
[ Wowwwww. Turing was honestly in awe of the scale of the party; everything just seemed so fancy. However, the problem with the large buffet table was that they weren't quite tall enough to comfortably see everything. Their solution to this problem was to stand up on a chair and just push it along the length of the table.
Being short was hard. Please have lower tables next time, void... ]
c. precipitation part 1
[ Neo-SF did not see much natural snow. Not much at all, honestly, so seeing the snow falling as far as the eye could see was certainly a new experience! They knew that climate control ROMs could make snow just as easily, but not quite to this magnitude.
They, uh, also couldn't freeze the train station, which was an important factor.
The first thing to draw Turing's attention was the new rink that had been created! They gingerly stepped on the ice of the impromptu rink, and when it didn't crack under their weight, they tested their full weight on the ice, which thankfully didn't send them to a watery demise. Water itself wasn't so much a problem, but not being able to swim was depending on how deep the water was. The biggest problem now was that the bottoms of their feet were totally flat, so actually moving forward would be difficult. Hmmm. ]
Excuse me! May I ask you for a push, please?
[ This...had some potential to go badly. ]
d. precipitation part 2: electric boogaloo
[ After their little icecapades, Turing still wasn't ready to go inside. Not yet. The fallen snow was their next point of interest, though making a snowball was a little difficult considering the shape of their hands. It was really more like they were sculpting a snowball instead of packing snow into a ball, which honestly, was still interesting in a way. The ball they rolled almost ended up as tall as they were, but they didn't seem to have any trouble pushing it on their own.
The second one was large as well, but with the base of the snowman being so tall, getting that piece in place without just like...tossing it on top and ruining the whole thing was a bit of a challenge. And so, they began trying to build a tightly packed hill of snow to stand on instead. Progress! ]

So here he is, standing a little to one side in the Galleria's expansive hall, the lute placed on a side table where it continued to play the same tune over and over again. Venti went straight into the crowd to drink and be merry, but he had chosen to keep to himself for now and discreetly watch the attendees.
It doesn't exactly help that he had somehow taken on parts of his dragon form without realizing. The horns are one thing, but he had to remove his gloves to avoid tearing them with his nails. Having a tail is natural to him, though - it's concealed neatly in the folds of his coat save for the tufted tip.
Hopefully he can spot someone who knows where this lute comes from. Or maybe they'll spot him first? ]

Lysandra K. Weiss
[Lysandra had arrived dressed in her usual sleeveless vest and a pair of pants meant to cover her skinny bird-like legs and shield them from the cold. Normally something of a wallflower she had managed to work up the courage to attend the night's events realizing she'd otherwise be spending the night in her apartment, staring at the ceiling again.
Though she was mostly back to being attached to the wall like a painting, she could be found milling about doing various things. Among them flipping through a deck of cards she had brought with her, trying to decide which food was actually food, and occasionally making sure her rather impressive wingspan hadn't gotten mussed in the meantime.]
Cards [For Espio]
[Lysandra had awoken one recent morning to find some cards planted in her otherwise secure apartment. How did they get there? Who did they belong to? What game were they even meant to play? She had no answer to any of these question but figured someone at the party might so she brought them along just in case. Occasionally she could be seen flipping one card over and over in her hand in a nervous fit.]
OPEN
[Drag the poor harpy out to play, she needs it.]

Hey!
[It’s not the card game that draws Espio’s attention, but the presence of someone else who’s not exactly human. He’s always glad to see others, so he seats himself near the bird-girl and offers her a small wave of greeting. Then the cards catch his eye... though he doesn’t realise that they are meant to be his.
Just about everyone in Garden loved to play this game, so seeing someone hanging around with a handful of cards was nothing strange.]
...huh, Triple Triad. Haven’t played that game in forever. Were you hoping to play someone?

(Although the intent was to share information and theories about the world, there was nothing wrong with making it fun. Noct also had mentioned it would be fun to have another, and with Arashi doing the same, Ren truly considers it.)
Maybe I could throw one and mark it as in January.

Hornet | Hollow Knight | OTA
[Hornet has been avoiding people even more actively than usual, which makes it especially odd that this letter would find itself near her. She ignores it, assuming it discarded and meant for someone else, but she can't ignore her curiosity forever.]
[When she reads it, her jaw clenches. It's like it's tailor-made to frustrate her personally— an invitation? Within her territory, territory which she has perhaps been a little lax in guarding as of late, but which nevertheless is the most familiar place she knows, a place which some unidentified specter has the gall to invite her back into.]
[Thus does Hornet find herself standing in the galleria, awaiting the allotted time. Waiting for whatever trap has been set to spring around her, confident that she can handle it.]
[With time still to spare, she lifts her head to see another person approaching. She shifts her grip on her needle, and doesn't try to hide the suspicion in her tone.]
"What business have you here?"
B. Buffet
[Hornet is visibly radiating disdain for the party as a whole. Having so many people clustered together in her city, chatting and mingling as if nothing is wrong. Such thoughtless indulgence breeds terrible things.]
[This ignoring the fact that Hornet has been doing her level best to empty a dish of tiny pastries from the buffet table. She's not even using a plate, simple spearing the treats straight off their pile with a fancy toothpick and popping them into her mouth between judgmental glances. A favoured passtime of her childhood was stealing as many sweets as she could stuff between her mandibles before someone came to stop her, and being an adult there is absolutely nothing anyone can do about her continuing that habit.]
[Halfway through spearing another treat, she catches someone's eye. She chews slowly, not breaking eye contact, and once she's finished she speaks.]
"Is there a problem?"
C. Cold Feet
"Wretched, terrible weather, awful, accursed—"
[This is the general vein of curses one might hear in the streets of the City of Tears— or perhaps more aptly the City of Ice, as every inch of the streets and canals is frozen over. Hornet, as it just so happens, was outside at the time when this change took place, and it just so happened to take place very abruptly right where she was standing.]
[In a puddle.]
[With her feet submerged.]
"I swear upon all that I care for, to whatever force is responsible, I will hunt you down to the ends of the earth the very instant I am free!"
[She jabs at the ice around her feet with her needle, not accomplishing very much beyond stabbing her leg a little. Prideful as she is, she would not be above accepting help from any bystanders who might be around to witness this display. Then again, with the threats being spewed, perhaps it's better she stays put...]

While getting onto the train to Messiah, one of the Smeargle-Moombas Samuel's been working with, a slightly smaller one with mother-of-pearl paint, darts after him, almost getting her tail caught in the door. Still, he doesn't notice her presence until he feels a gentle tug at his newly reacquired labcoat. Turning around, he recognizes the Smeargle immediately, giving her a gentle smile despite his surprise.
"Do you want to come with me, little one?" She nods and he helps her to a seat, sitting beside her. She leans against him as the train starts to move, wrapping both of her arms around one of his. Look's like someone's made a friend ~ or perhaps a crush?
2. Party
Samuel isn't really much of a partier, but thankfully this seems to be the classy, family-friendly kind of party, not the "drugs, alcohol, loud music, and inappropriate dancing" kind (which would send him back to the train as quickly as he came). And really, it doesn't seem fair to leave the Pokemon out of this, so he releases Dragonite from its Pokeball and tells it to enjoy itself. This mostly consists of helping itself to anything that looks edible from the buffet, and sticking around Samuel as he does (almost) the same for himself and his unexpected plus-one.
Other than that, though, the introvert mainly sticks to himself and his animal companions, though he may strike up a conversation with anyone at his table or step in where needed, like if a fight breaks out again. Perhaps some lovely (or not-so-lovely, unlike some people he doesn't discriminate based on beauty, possibly under the delusion that he's no catch himself) lady can even talk him into a dance?
3. Post-Party
Well. That's a problem. Samuel surveys the new weather situation, shivering slightly as he starts actually buttoning up his labcoat; while it's not a winter coat, it is designed to be worn in a heavily air-conditioned laboratory, so it's better than nothing. Despite his own discomfort, though, he may offer the labcoat to someone who looks like they need it more -- just give it back when this is all over, please, he's 'lost' one labcoat already and doesn't want to lose another one.
But on the topic of actually doing something about this, the sound of Dragonite's heavy footsteps behind him brings a possible solution to mind, and he turns toward the dragon with a smile.
"You wouldn't have any problems flying through this, would you, Dragonite?" Dragonite confirms it with a proud trumpeting sound, flexing its arms and wings. He looks to the others assembled and observing the weather. "Well, would anyone like to give it a shot?" He could head back alone, but this isn't a great time to be alone, and it makes no difference to him which nice warm building he waits out the storm in. If the blizzard lasts so long that supplies become a problem, that's one thing, but for now he's only leaving if someone comes with him.

Thanks for the shuttle, mate. How about a snack to recharge?
[ the prospect of food sounds very good to Flygon, who responds with a happy nod and nuzzle into Raihan's cheek. he laughs a bit as he welcomes him closer with a stroke to his head, but shrugs him off soon after to head to the buffet table. ] Alright, alright. Stay here.
[ he saunters over to the spread of food (and other, allegedly edible things), before taking a plate to make a tasting platter fit for a dragon - that is, two of everything, making him look like a bit of a glutton. ]

Indigo is minding her own business, eating her food at a table, when one particular strain of piano catches her ear, causing her to look up as she listens; beautiful, to be sure, but....
"I ain't so sure this tune makes fer good party music. It sounds so sad." And familiar; she's sure she's heard this song before, but she can't place where. "An' so lonely." Who's in charge of choosing the entertainment for this shindig, anyhow?
2. Party Games
No amount of begging or insisting is going to get Indigo out on the dance floor. And she's not interested in embarassing herself with Truth or Dare. She's not great at conversation either, so what else is there for a shy Novakid to do here, other than eat? Well....
"I know a few games we could play. Guessin' games... or that one where you make a story one sentence at a time. I c'n start."
3. Designated Driver
Looking out into the blizzard, Indigo doesn't seem bothered by the cold at all. Oh, sure, she's got her cape, but it's not like she's wrapping it around herself or anything; it's just dangling behind her like it usually does. In fact, if you look closely, any snowflakes that land on her last less than a moment before they melt and soak into her clothing.
Carefully, Indigo makes her way down to the frozen ocean to test its strength; it seems solid enough. Maybe she would melt a hole in it if she sat in one place for a while, but otherwise, nothing's going to be falling through the ice anytime soon. She pulls out something that looks similar to a Pokeball before turning back to the others.
"If anybody wants to go back to the apartment buildin', I c'n give ya a lift. Jus' one at a time, though, this thing's only got two seats."
