1. Some Assembly Required (Merlaut)
Eventually, the chair seems complete, and he stands back to look at his handiwork. There are a few extra screws, but he can't find anywhere to put them, so surely they're just that -- extra, in case some get lost? Either way, he turns around to cautiously take a seat. Just as he fully rests his weight on the chair, though, trusting it to hold him up... the whole thing collapses.
Samuel gives a small yelp of surprise as he falls into the pile of wood pieces -- thankfully unharmed, only momentarily stunned -- but once he's able to catch his breath and realize what happened... he laughs.

Spotting the spare parts that had been carefully placed aside he snorted," I could go for the obvious pun.. about having a few screws loose or I could spare you."
no subject
He turns around, and begins to sort the wooden pieces from the collapsed chair. Let's see -- is there enough left to try again, or have some of them actually broken?
no subject
"... Wait. You had instructions and it still ended up like this?" Noticing the diagrams as he moved closer. It hadn't yet dawned on him that the text was pointless yet. He'd know soon enough since he picked up the pages to examine them.
no subject
"I'm sure I built it correctly, so I'm not sure why it just fell apart like that." Perhaps it's some kind of prank chair, meant to collapse when you sit on it. "Do you want to give it a try?"
no subject
"Even with only the images it should have been fairly straightforward," Kaiba agreed, in his own way without making it clear that he was. "If any of this.." Motioning to the wasted words. ".. made sense, I'm sure it would reveal whether it was intended to be a prank or not."
Not really, is what the brunette thought initially but rather than voicing it, he shrugged. "Sure. It's not like I have anywhere I have to be...". Genuinely meaning that and with words devoid of sarcasm. Besides, it was just a chair- how long could this take?
no subject
With the pieces all sorted -- and luckily enough, it seems, none of them actually broken -- Sam hands Kaiba the small screwdriver that came with the set, before sitting back. Oh, he'll help if he's asked, but right now he wants to see if Kaiba can do better. Besides, knowing his... prickly personality, he has the feeling that he doesn't really want help.
no subject
Accepting the screwdriver, he starts by inspecting the pieces. It's a lot less complex than what he's used to constructing so he's confident that this will be a snap. That was also an accurate assessment on the professor's part, Kaiba wasn't in the habit of either giving nor accepting help so this was a rare occasion in one capacity. "You should hold on to this after this chair is finished, tools like it don't seem to wash ashore nearly often enough."
Deeming the few glances he'd had of the diagrams enough, he set to work once he situated himself on the ground by the pieces.
no subject
"Wouldn't it be more useful for you?" Kaiba is some kind of engineer, right? "I've already got one, anyway." He pulls a small pocket knife from his labcoat, unfolding it to show the handful of tools on it. "If you don't have one already, you can have that one." How generous.
((BTW, up to you if you want Kaiba to succeed in rebuilding the chair or not! It might be an unhealthy boost to his ego if he succeeds, but then again, it would also be pretty funny....))
2. Thunderbolts and Lightning (between Merlaut and Kichijoji)
The only warning he has toward what is about to happen next is his hair beginning to stand on end despite the water weighing it down, and he's having too much fun playing to notice it.
This close to a lightning strike, it sounds more like an explosion, drowning out Samuel's yell of pain and surprise as the electricity courses through his body. Within seconds, though, it's over, and he's left standing with slightly smoking hair and clothes, while a few last sparks run along his arms and legs before dissipating.
Once again... he laughs, even as the rain begins to push his hair back down again. Given all the Electric types he works with, it's going to take more than that! If only he'd been carrying some electronics.
3. Loyal Dragon (Heavenly Blanc) (Here there be blood and gore)
If you're near Heavenly Blanc, you might notice a large shadow flying overhead, or a disturbance in the air. That would be Dragonite, heading toward the building at top speed with something in its arms -- and is that blood running down its scales? But Dragonite doesn't look hurt....
At Heavenly Blanc itself, the dragon announces its presence to all by kicking the door open, and what it's carrying in its arms is finally revealed. Good old Professor Oak is covered in blood again, just like when Mementos first appeared... but this time, it's his blood. The source of the blood seems to be two wounds -- one on his abdomen, which he clutches at with a death grip, and one on his left shoulder, which Dragonite is pressing one of its 'hands' against.
Sam looks around at the room and anyone who might be assembled; he's become something of an uncommon sight at this particular spot. He doesn't drink, he doesn't like being around drunk people, and there are other places to get food, so why would he hang around a bar? Still, he puts on a brave smile -- more of a grimace, really, the kind of smile a person in a lot of pain makes so that the people around them don't worry about them too much.
"Dragonite, why'd you bring me here?" He gently scolds the dragon, before addressing the others. The fact that he can be so calm at a time like this... he must be used to severe injuries. "I guess Dragonite must have brought me to the closest place with a lot of people, I'm sorry. I just need some medical supplies and I'll get out of your hair."

Legion was actually enjoying a nice cup of oolong when the door is kicked open, startling them into spashing tea all over themselves instead of into their chesthole as intended.
That's no matter though, because Oak-Professor is injured, and clearly in need of assistance. They stand up, headflaps fluttering.
"Acknowledged. Recommend disinfection with alcohol: death does not occur here, but Overgrowth will grow in uncleaned wounds." Their leg is still kind of screwed up, and they hobble awkwardly toward the shelf to search for s sufficiently high proof concoction. They're pretty sure bandages and some other supplies can be found around here as well, and try to remember where exactly they're kept as they search.
no subject
"Thank you," he weakly calls out from Dragonite's arms, noticing Legion's limp. (Perhaps once his own wounds are treated, he can take a look at it. Not that he's familiar with patching up robots, but he's familiar enough with Steel-types, so perhaps that experience will come in handy.)
He'd like Dragonite to put him down -- it's his abdomen and shoulder that are injured, not his legs, so he should be able to walk just fine -- but he knows it's already difficult enough to minimize blood loss as is without doing things that get his heart pumping. "Can you see if you can find some thread as well?"
Because just as in Mementos, these wounds are deep enough that they probably need stitches. The idea of just using whatever thread is lying around for sutures instead of something that's actually made for them doesn't appeal to Sam, but they have to make do with what they have.
no subject
For now though, they're gonna hobble around. "Affirmative. Glue is also useful for sealing wounds." Though that might be harder to find than just finding thread.
Oh look, there's some pretty strong alcohol. At least, it says it's 160 proof. They grab the bottle and set it on the bar before they go searching for medical supplies. They're pretty sure there should be some around here somewhere...
no subject
He's still stuck in Dragonite's arms, and can't do much to help Legion personally, but he realizes there is something he can do -- against the dragon's protests, he pulls out two Pokeballs (one regular, one friend ball) with his bad arm (his good one is still clutched onto his abdomen) -- and tosses them out. Immediately two creatures appear -- Pidgey, and one of the native Smeargle-Moombas. They both make sounds of distress at the sight of their blood-covered companion, but he sternly points toward legion before resting his arm again.
"Go on, go help him find something to treat this with." Reluctantly, they leave his side as he rests his arm again, making their way to the cabinets to help Legion look around for supplies.
no subject
Their headflaps flare at the sudden appearance of these additional helpers, but they calm down quickly enough. Finding the required items should at least go faster: Legion will eventually locate the first aid kit, and there's some spare thread that the creatures should be able to find as well.
Legion picks up the alcohol from where they had set it on the bar and carries it and the other supplies over to Sam and Dragonite.
no subject
"Good thinking, Rose. That way I won't get blood everywhere." He named the Smeargle Rose, by the way. She lays out the towel in a nearby booth, and Dragonite lays Sam on top of it. The first thing Sam goes for in the first aid kit is the painkillers, coughing after he swallows them dry. He glances up at Legion and his own companions as he arranges the supplies he'll need to treat himself; he hates to ask for even more, but....
"Could I ask you for one more thing? A mirror of some kind would help me get a better look at what I'm trying to do." His shoulder, at least, is not in a great position for him to see what he's doing, and his abdomen is at a pretty awkward angle to work on too.
