[He looked up from the door, only to see...oh! It was the girl he met when he just arrived...what was...Madeline, that was it. The girl that was actually two girls. Okay!]
[He chuckled softly at the first part, letting out a little sigh.]
Yeah, uh...alright. Lemmie explain, just so that's not too weird. It's nothin' vitally important, it's just, uh...this is the first time I've ever lived alone in my life. I grew up with five brothers. Big family. So it's weird to suddenly be alone. And I don't...I don't like it.
Oh. So that's what this was all about. There was a bit of a pause before she managed to find the right response.
"I'll be honest... I get it. My family is pretty small, but moving out on your own is scary. I didn't think I was ready for it, and... honestly, I'm still not sure if I am." She sighed. "That said though... I'd imagine a lot of people would look into living here, so you'd at least have neighbors."
You seem pretty strong, Madeline-chan. And you're kinda not all on your own, anyway. You've got Other Madeline-chan with you. [Sorta. Still weird how that works.] Neighbors are good. I just...uh...
If I find someone, and I spend time with that person, I really end up sticking around them. That's why I'm not just staying with my closest friend here. That pissed my little brothers off back home, 'cause they couldn't really...get rid of me.
[Thaaat hurt to admit. That was a painful realization that hit him hard every time he came to it.]
It felt nice to have someone say that to her. One of the things she felt the most confident in was her strength of will, so a compliment to that put a smile on her face. Although, she did feel a little bad for Osumatsu, she hoped it wouldn't seem like she was smiling at his misfortune.
"I didn't always have her around, you know. Well... technically I did, but she wasn't physically here. I'd go into specifics, but it's a pretty long story and I'm not sure if you'd wanna sit through it." As much as she treasured that adventure, there was a time and a place for everything. "Honestly though... while people do need some space from time to time, there's nothing wrong with sticking around friends and family. Why did that anger your brothers? Were you really that clingy? I'd think a large family like yours would want to support eachother."

Oh, ah, Madeline-chan, hey.
[He bit his lip, crossing his arms.]
I'm...not sure. It's complicated.

"I'd say its nice to see you, but it is a bit worrying to see someone hitting their head against a door. I'd be willing to listen if you want."
