Who: Osomatsu Matsuno and Various What: August Catch-All Where: All around the Void When: August or the equivalent of Content Warnings: N/A, will update as needed
[Exploration is apparently the primary thing around here, given that the world is forming as is, so he's taken to looking around. The first place he finds is a...church? It looks like a church. However, it has a lemon and a musical instrument on the place above the door, which is eyebrow-raising enough, but the interior is...well. It looks like a really fancy cafe.
Osomatsu immediately brightens as he damn near skips inside, looking around.]
Y'ello...? Baker? Owner?
[When he gets no response, his eyes narrow. He looks around suspiciously before approaching the group of cakes near the back. No one will notice one missing cake, right? It looks good! And fresh! And he deserves it! For being cute! He reaches his arms out, and grasps the cake, skittering away to one of the seats there, and then promptly realizing he has no utensils.
Welp.
He opens the top, grabs a handful of cake, and shoves it into his mouth like the dignified adult he is. This is just how it be sometimes, he supposes. That's just how it is. Hopefully no one he's been trying to impress walks in on this...]
[Unfamiliar with any cults that hinged their symbolism on cellos and fruit, Kaiba made his way inside. He wasn't expecting to find anything of worth, but he was making a point to stay familiarized with the terrain and it's alterations. The most innocuous looking features could be holding hidden secrets.
Not seeing the other boy at first, he strode confidently into the large room. The various building materials were in keeping with the general hodge podge that befell most structures and organisms.]
....
[So the church, was a church. Big deal. It might have made a dramatic location to hold a duel but beyond that..
Hearing the shuffling of someone else's footsteps he tensed and finally looked to the alter of..... cake?]
Of course. Why didn't I assume that from the start.... who wouldn't put a bakery inside a center for religious gatherings. [He's kidding] .. Who's there?
[So now another guy has entered. He slowly raises a brow, watching the guy step inside and take a look around. He'd briefly gotten up, peering over, only to get noticed.]
Uhhhh. Hiya! I'm here. I don't think anyone else is.
[He spoke up, raising one cake-covered hand in greeting.]
Just another confused visitor like you.
[One who took advantage of the situation, but still.]
[Kaiba's eyes travelled first to the motion, he soon realized the less than pristine condition of the digits waving at him and there was no masking the disgust that flashed over his features. A simple glance at his own attire might reveal his fastidiousness. His crisp white coat, showed no signs of dirt or damage despite the hike to get here ]
If I knew who you were, that might mean something.
[Still, it looked like he'd run into a child (based on facial features) so he'd tone down his regular levels of animosity ]
Hmph.
[He hummed and proceeded with his investigation. Even in the dim light, you could still make out where a hole had once been in the ceiling ]
(Ren arrives at the church to see if he could find Aerith, but instead, here is Oso with a mouthful of cake, just pure elegance as he stuffs it in his mouth.
It does make Ren laugh though. Seemed fine to eat...)
[He shoves some more cake into his mouth, then freezes a little bit, looking down. He swallows.]
Yeah, I...I know. I've been trying! I just, um. I know you're the younger one, I'm the adult, I shouldn't be imposing on you. That's why I got me one of those apartments...
[So the next thing he's found is a set of apartment buildings. Well. He figures he probably shouldn't impose on Ren forever, however much he likes hanging around the Heavenly Blanc, but at the same time, he...hates this. His heart sinks into a low place in his gut when he remembers right, I'd be living alone. He stares at room 101, his stomach churning. It's not what he wants. It's not at all what he wants.
Ugh, why is being an adult so HARD?!
He leans forward a bit, and his head hits against the door softly. Thonk. He's not sure what to do, but he knows that whatever happens, he's going to have to grow up and deal with it. He groans quietly like a particularly hesitant zombie. He's aware he looks weird. He's just not easily willing to accept being alone yet.]
[Cole has never seen a structure like this one before. It's enormous, and there's so much glass, he's not sure how it holds together. It must be familiar to someone though, if it appeared here. He's only here to take a look at it because it's new.]
[The lobby is pretty distracting, but he doesn't make it far down the first hallway of doors before he's run into someone else... sort of. They seem preoccupied faceplanting against a door, and groaning. That's usually not good. Are they hurt?]
[It's pretty rare for people to admit to him that they're not all right, for many reasons. Of course, normally he doesn't have to ask to know if something is wrong. He's still adjusting to doing this in a more "human" fashion.]
[It's a bit of an odd experience for him, too, admitting he's functionally not very okay to a stranger. He heaves out a little sigh.]
It's...really nothing important.
Just, um. This'll be my first time living alone. So it's a little unnatural to me. I have a pretty big family, and I haven't lived apart from them my entire life, so now that I don't have a choice...it's weird.
I was kind of imposing on a guy I met here before, because he's been nice enough to kinda humor having me as a friend, but I can't force my presence around him too too much.
[Parsee wasn't on that list, but anyone who talked to her was definitely going to be aware she had no intention of leaving her bridge for that long. The apartments were too far away. A bridge was a calling for her...
But that didn't mean she wouldn't explore, and see him there with his head banging on the door.]
Sure seems like most people are, yeah. But no one really has their own homes right now, so go figure. And I dunno if outside living is much for me. Who knows when the void will up and decide bugs are a good idea?
I'd hardly call a little apartment a palace, though. Needs more sophistication to it!
Eh. They're bugs. It's not a big deal. The bridge is fine for me. Easier to keep an eye on things there if I've got my home right at the bridge. Don't see any reason to stay anywhere else, so you guys can have the nice, cushy apartment.
[She laughed and shook her head.]
It's definitely better than my plan, but I suppose there's better houses. We're tuck here long enough. I suppose you could all have mansions if you want. And have the time to build one.
[ hmmm. so, running into people having potential meltdowns in front of doors in a hotel-y looking place in a whole new world isn't a situation leo'd really ever expected to find himself in, but it is what it is!
it isn't like he can ignore that, anyway. hope osomatsu doesn't mind this stranger's approach, leo's hands in the pockets of his hoodie and his gaze mildly curious as he asks: ]
You got a stomach ache?
[ leo doesn't even know if they're capable of stomach aches anymore but he's sure gonna explain the zombie-state with that ]
[He tilts his head a bit, his expression dour. He wants to cheer up, but it's hard to. Now there's a guy asking if he has a tummy ache, and as if his body wanted to emphasize the situation, his stomach twists a bit.]
...A little.
But, ah, that's not really the big concern here...it, um, doesn't really matter...
What doesn't matter? Your little stomach ache, 'cause it's not the big thing making you hit your head against the door? Or the big thing, 'cause you wanna shrug it off?
[ leo says all that rather genuinely, his questions emphasized with the smallest tilt of the head.
and because osomatsu is someone he just met, of course he keeps on going: ]
If both things are bothering you, both things matter. There's not a lot of things in this world that don't matter, actually. I'd even say there's... no things in this world that don't matter! [ ... ] Did I say that right? Double negatives twist me up sometimes!
Madeline had been across the hall, asking Badeline if she could go check out the interior of an apartment. Even without the need to sleep, the two still wanted a place they could go and relax, and what better place than their own apartment?
However, the sudden thonk from the door across from her had caught her attention. Wasn't that the boy she had met around the time she first arrived here? While Badeline was busy, she walked over to Osumatsu and tapped him on the shoulder.
[He looked up from the door, only to see...oh! It was the girl he met when he just arrived...what was...Madeline, that was it. The girl that was actually two girls. Okay!]
[What a dingy place. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, but he's thinking the best of it. Mostly because he's grabbed a bottle of booze, and no one is objecting, so that's one of his needs fulfilled. But it feels so off in a way. Like the start of that one movie about the girl and the dragon where the parents find lots of food, and it looks real good, and without thinking...bam. They turn into pigs.
He resolutely decides not to eat too much here.
He peers around the area, popping in and out of incredibly dark buildings, eventually popping into the bathhouse and laughing at the colorful fish popping out of the tap.]
Hey~ I've caught those before~!!!
[He still hasn't gotten rid of the booze. He needs it to survive.]
[Any other ideas? Toss 'em at me here! Check my contact info to plot with me, and we can totally set whatever up. Osomatsu is highly likely to wander, so he could be anywhere.]

(That's more Ann's thing... Or Akechi's. Kind of. Maybe? Debatable.
Ren smiles as he approaches, finding a place to lean on and keep Oso better company.)
