[Knowing where she comes from now he gets that.]
So, what? All we gotta do is take this drum over to the shrine so it won't pull pranks on people anymore? Give it a good pounding?
[He's coming over to pick the thing up. He doesn't know if this is smart or not.]
Let's get going then!

Exactly. It's lonely and unattended, so it's being whiny. But if it gets treated like a ceremonial drum again and someone pounds on it once in a while, it won't be near as much trouble.
Heh. [She offered the drum but kept the mallet for herself.] Two hands make light work.
Watch the tools that wash up on shore by the way. They seem to be showing up now, so more might come and I can't adopt them all. That'll end bad.

Sure, I've got it. I think I can handle a ceremonial drum here and there. Give it some well-needed attention and all that.
[So! He takes it and handles the drum with two hands, wrestling it under one arm.]
How many tools do you think we're talking here? I'll do what I can, we can't have all the tools and musical instruments running amok.

She was less whiny about being a forgotten drum. [She grunted.] She'll be happier off once we're at the shrine, though. And her and the broom should get on ok. They don't do the same things.

Inanimate objects with personalities and social preferences. This place just doesn't stop. Let's get this item to the shrine so it's one less drum to be making a fuss.
[Walking in that direction while hoping the drum doesn't somehow attack him from under his arm.]

Dude, they're the story of my life back home. I have to deal with dumb crap like that all the time. Though they usually have human bodies so they're more mobile pains in the butts.
[As the shrine was starting to loom closer, she grunted and glanced over at him.]
So what dumb stuff do they have back home for you? So I have fair warning?
no subject
Well- There's these walking cacti that can be found in dry areas, they look like something out of a kid's horror movie.
[He sighs.]
Tons of spiky needles, run faster than chocobos on fire. And I think those things have ended up here as some sort of bear hybrid. So... Heads up on that. Run if you see em, alright? Getting the needles out is a real pain in the ass.
no subject
... uh... those things? They're definitely a pain in the neck, alright. I try to avoid most of the aggressive ones when I can. Like those stupid fish.
I have no idea why a fish is a dragon, or why they're so aggressive.
