Whatever. That wasn't an invitation either, so I guess you're stuck with him. [It was evident that he didn't appreciate the comparison, but he endured it] Why doesn't that surprise me. I never inquired as to what he was smoking... [Getting in another dig against Watanuki] At least it's a roof over your head. [That much he would allow, and honestly he was glad that she wasn't sticking to living in that dilapidated shack]

[Accepting her admission of living in hell was in glaring contradiction with his denouncement of supernatural entities from only moments prior. The hypocrisy didn't seem to bother him in the slightest]

Years?! [Exclaiming that far louder than he intended, it seemed to echo throughout the currently empty space] How could that be possible? [Thinking back to his own situation and wondering if time could still somehow be passing in his absence. What if he returned home and Mokuba was in his late 20s? Or worse.] When you returned, was it as if you never left or was your absence noted?

A roof that isn't likely to blow down, so that's better than the shack. I mean, we had it going pretty good, but it wasn't as solid as the apartments by any stretch.

[She shrugged, not pressing it. She figured it was probably tobacco, but who knew?]

Yeah, pretty much. The moment I disappeared from as far as I could tell. No damned memories of here, and nobody seemed to have noticed me missing. They weren't even commenting on the bridge being more quiet lately. So... poof poof.

Bet it'd be the same for anyone else. Kind of ... seriously irritating to have my memories taken.

That's awfully precise. [Wondering over how that was even possible. When he had been trapped in a virtual world before time had certainly passed in his absence. He had employees that could testify to that fact. Still, if there was some mind altering substance or otherwise involved it might not be as difficult to pull off. Eh.. it was a stretch.. how could you get to every person Parsee had ever had contact with to manipulate them into thinking she never left? No. It was too farfetched.]

I wouldn't be thrilled with that prospect either. There has to be a way to access those memories somehow.. but when they were being suppressed you wouldn't have had a reason to try.

[She shrugged at first. It was weirdly precise how it seemed to have happened, though she would have to confess that it was possible it'd been off by a day or two. You really didn't get a good feel for the passage of days when life was monotonous as hers was in Gensokyo. She got bored rather easily, even if she rarely left her bridge.

Her lips turned down and she folded her arms. How to put this?]

I don't like this now, knowing the implications, but there? It was just the monotony of my existence. Like you said. I had no idea there was anything missing.

I think I like less that others would forget me.
