Renovation - Merlaut Apartments - Ota

[There were those that might have lamented the mass exodus from the apartments, or missed seeing those former neighbors regularly from day-to-day, but Seto Kaiba wasn't one of them. He saw this instead as a unique opportunity in itself. The apartments directly beside him now remained abandoned and open, ripe for renovation. All it would take is the removal of certain barriers. After some investigation he thought he'd identified which walls were load baring and which were free game and it seemed favorable for his ideas.

If he stretched this out, the furthest apartment could be made into storage, so he well and truly would never have a next door neighbor again.

As walls started being removed, the noise would have been unavoidable, and cacophonous, and there would be dust to go along with it so those still remaining in the Merlaut might want to start lodging their complaints now. Those that come to investigate will find signs affixed to the doors of the effected apartments that not only express that these areas are off limits, but also cautions not to enter for safety reasons.

Although he hadn't been content to stop there, any attempt to move the barrier between 309 and 308 failed.]

[OOC: This spans from apartment 310-309 since according to the spreadsheet those are vacant and are being allowed.]

Taking flight - Mt Silver - Ota

[The last gift Kaiba had received from the void had been a briefcase full of his prized duel monsters cards so he was nothing short of astonished when he had located his blue-eyes themed jet stowed away in one of the clearings on Mt. Silver. Guess Amamiya hadn't been wrong that something that belonged to him had likely appeared as well. Stopping short in his tracks, his jaw dropped and his eyes widened as he just sort of looked at this magnificent machine in awe.]

I.... I don't believe it.

[Finding himself in one of those rare moments where words escaped him. He approached the familiar vehicle slowly and decisively as if silently he had to ask for permission to enter this most sacred of spaces. The faint sound of some shuffling near the fuel tank got him to tear his eyes away from the dragon head shaped cockpit.]

Hey! What do you think you're doing back there?!

[At first all he saw was a flash of some rounded green forms but as he drew nearer, he recognized the creatures as cacteddies. A pile of them, one standing on top of the other to make it possible to reach high enough. He rushed over towards them without thinking, startling them in the process. The top-most cacteddie dropped a pitcher that rolled to one side the contents splashing out. Then they all retreated into the surrounding woods. Kaiba gave up the pursuit, kneeling down to inspect what they'd loaded the fuel tank with.]

... Water? [From Mortis Lake presumably. Something like that normally would have to be flushed from the system, and jet fuel would have to take it's place... however he'd seen these creatures repairing things before. Either they were oblivious to what this sort of technology needed to function, or they knew exactly what was needed. Kaiba thought back to the gas station pumps, and how they too had been filled with water, not gas. Maybe it was reckless and foolhardy... but so be it. Walking back around to the cockpit, he dramatically leapt up and flung himself into it. He would try to fly this thing. Good thing it was capable of Vertical-Take-Off, not that anyone else would know that]

What's the point of having all these machines, if most of them are just for show?

[Kaiba scoffed to himself, as he set to work inspecting one of the dilapidated contraptions. It wouldn't be the first time he'd ever repaired one of these things, so if anyone could do it, it was him. Somewhat disturbingly and disappointingly all the working games he'd tested before all seemed to feature the same feline sprite and were bizarre in their own unique ways. It would have been difficult to define what sort of games they actually were supposed to be. At least one of them had been some sort of farming simulation, but instead of racking up points by harvesting and selling the crops, the fruits and vegetables turned into enemies and the player's objectives switched to those more in keeping with a first person shooter?

Just like with anything they gained, there was some kind of hang up or drawback. Perhaps that's why he started paying more attention to the broken games. Maybe they had actually been decent and overplayed leading to their present condition.

Zoned out - MarketZONE - Ota

[Most people seemed to have been taking to the leyline network easily and naturally, there was just one obvious setback with it. If a person genuinely wasn't open to the idea, or didn't wish to hear the inane rambling of others, they might just miss picking up on the transmissions entirely. So Kaiba just happened to fit into that category. He hadn't even learned that the capability existed yet, he just happened to be close to one of the leylines currently.

He'd taken an inspection of the walkways, on the way to Market Str-ZONE since there had been those earthquakes earlier. Then he had proceeded into the central business area proper. As he walked around he observed some peculiar behavior.

A person might suddenly burst out laughing, or start musing to another about a seemingly random subject and there seemed to be no catalyst for it. Narrowing his eyes he puzzled over it questioning if everyone here was starting to go mad. Eventually he found he was unable to remain silent on the subject. Addressing the closest and latest offender he openly questioned them]

Just what is your problem? [There, perfect] Talking to yourself is the first sign of insanity you know.

Phase 1 - Gymnasium - Ota (Aimed at Iwa)

[It had taken a long time and a fair amount of cajoling the Brushboys to pull this off, but Kaiba was finally going to strike back against once of his sworn enemies in a very public and overt way. The gym itself was almost completely transformed now in shades of blue and white. The floor now looked like this, and this branding continued on the wall with the following logo. The volleyball nets were missing in action, and a search for the volleyballs would be fruitless. In fact in the container they usually would be found in there was only a brief message to be found in bold on a sign that was impossible to miss:

HAJIME IWAIZUMI'S LOST HIS BALLS
It would be difficult to hold the regular practice for the volleyball teams- if that was still a thing -but at least they would have plenty to clean up which should occupy their time sufficiently enough, unless Iwa was left to deal with it himself.]
